Dinah wound her way to the booth, hugged Momoko, then slid in on the other side. "Oooo, that looks good, think I could get one? I got hung up on layover in a subway station somewhere between here and the next galaxy."
"There's another order on the way; I've been waiting forever!" She may have asked Jackson to 'keep them coming'...
Momoko pushed the plate and a menu towards her friend. "Subway like the restaurant or like the underground train? Though both are totally weird layovers."
"Like the train. If it'd been the restaurant, I would've gotten lunch," Dinah said, perusing the menu. "Not even a freaking vending machine... Ooooo, what's the best thing? And what're our plans for the day?"
"YOU HAVEN'T EATEN?!" Momoko waved towards the waitress. "Everything is awesome. Are you wanting some mexican or not? There's a really good tuna salad? And since Jackson's in the kitchen today, I can totally reccomend the chile con queso!"
"Freshly crushed spiders," Paco answered as headed straight for their table as soon as he came in the door. His comment earned him a punch in the shoulder, which he very manfully ignored.
Dinah bounced up to hug him hard, beaming and say, "Hey you! Way too long, and it's not like the spiders would matter. You have got to come to New Gotham more often, dork." She shot Paco a mischievous look as she gave him a half-hug too. "I ate a Klingon blood worm once. Gaaaagck."
And here was a reason she'd chosen the back table: her friends.
"PACO! Spiders? Ew ew ew ew!" Momoko was leaning over to swack him on the arm with the menu, chuckling despiite herself. "Ew! You can't sit at our table now! Go away!"
"And you totally need to stop bringing up the worm story, Dinah. Ew!"
Dinah strolled into the diner with her duffel bag over her shoulder, spotted Momoko, and brightened. "Hey!"

No, it was worse, but if she went on any longer Momoko would kidnap her food.
Dinah made eyes at the counter guy. SAD EYES. FOOD?
