Momoko's Apartment, El Paso Texas, Monday Evening
Momoko had actually scheduled a layover in her portal from Glacia which meant she'd managed to get a quick shower and a change of clothing! That was good since she managed to 'land' in El Paso just in time to catch the bus to campus for her first class at El Paso Community College.
She spent the day on campus, going to orientations and meeting professors, buying booksand trying to find places that may be hiring. She had a nice collection of applications by the end of the day! Not that she was sure how she was going to manage a job when she was needed back in Glacia as well. She was going to have to sit down and figure out a schedule. She was mulling that over as she rode the bus back, and totally missed the stop that was closest to her new apartment.
She had an apartment! That thought was a little exciting!
She walked back from the wrong bus stop back to the complex and had to shift the bags she was carrying to dig out her phone. What was her apartment number again?
Ahhh. To be able to fall into a nice comfy... oh wait. She didn't have the apartment set up. Even if her things had arrived, they were all still in boxes. And she wasn't even sure if her furniture had arrived. She'd have to put it together, if it had. And she had classes again tomorrow morning.
Suddenly she could feel how heavy the things she was carrying actually were. She was tired and didn't want to unpack or build anything. She pulled the key from around her neck and unlocked the door. Ah well. She'd been sleeping on the cold rocky ground for months, she could totally curl up on a carpeted floor in a warm apartment.
The door opened and she stepped in. "Tadaima."
