Blossom fell from the sky, the shock was so great. Luckily years of playing 'miss the ground' meant she recovered at the last second enough to at least soften her landing. On her behind. In the middle of the ocean

"Don't, c'mon, you're making me--" Okay, there she went, bursting into tears too. Damnit, Momoko. "I'm okaaaaay. And you're way better and it'll be..." sniffle!
Still not able to talk, sorry. But she did let go the flashes she could still remember of the cursing taking hold only to be broken right after they extracted a name, being re-cursed, giving up another name, breaking free again... until finally they gave up and just blocked her memories and got her under control...
"wasn't me wasn't me sorry," she somehow managed to gurgle
"I know I know I know..." Dinah was repeating that over and over, hugging Momoko as tightly as she could. The flashes made her cry harder. She, me, we didn't blame you, we knew it had to be something like that, I could see it when you/she came to visit the jail, you're gonna be okay, God, I'm so sorry
Momoko was probably going to be crying for a while, so if Dinah pulled away she would totally understand. Of all things, turning Dinah in and leaving her in that dungeon for two years while she traipsed merrily on with her life...
"I never would have! Promise! Would have come for you!"
"I know! I believe you!" More crying, and then Dinah couldn't talk, so she sent: She was so worried about you I'm so glad you're you again and so so so sorry you were there when Priestly-- She winced.
Momoko cringed at the reminder. No no no no never again it all still hurts "Totally crying forever. He's not allowed." I don't love him here like that okay? And I wasn't allowed to even think about you! So sorry. I knew. I knew.
And that was a lovely twist, Umbridge, letting Momoko know the code to freeing the BFF she couldn't remember existed. Bravo.
Dinah was still so, so sorry that she hadn't gotten a chance to track that woman down and break her face.
She winced again, and rocked Momoko. "Not. Allowed." She forced herself to get her breath back, hiccuping, so Momoko wouldn't have to overshare if she didn't want to. "I know. It's okay. He doesn't expect that. And, and, I think I'm glad, she, you, didn't remember." It was twisted, but easier to think of, than Momoko *choosing* to leave her there.
Lots more crying and woe to anyone who interrupted them.
Finally Momoko could pull back, wiping her hair from her eyes. Or was that Dinah's? "Why can't we ever be on the same side?" Momoko finally wailed-slash-sobbed.
Dinah laughed hysterically, and wiped at her face too. Then at Momoko's. "'Cause we're best friends here?" Yeah, that didn't make any more sense out loud. "We were on the same side. You just weren't on... your side." She groaned. "Oh man, now I have a headache."
Momoko chuckled and leaned her forehead against Dinah's. "You? Try being in my head. Ah ah. If I didn't have to go back and explain where I've been, I would totally declare this another drink-until-Ms Barbara-puts-us-on-youtube night."
"Nnnngh. No no no." Dinah looped an arm around Momoko's neck. "You get to play hostess this time! I have decided. Yes. I like this plan. Sake bombs until we pass out."
"Ah! Yes!!!!! I'm finally legal, too! Your next break, we are totally going to a host club. Cute boys flattering us and lots and lots of drinking. Totally what we need."
"Missed you, Kohii." Dinah sighed, chest hurting from all the crying and hysteria. "Cute boys and booze sounds like a recipe for awesome. And Barbara won't end up with photos."
