Momoko wasn't sure why her portal dropped her off on the far side of the island, or why it totally sounded like a laugh as it disappeared, but it totally wasn't going to spoil her happy mood! She was back at Fandom for a whole weekend with nothing to do but have fun

A flying yellow-and-rainbow blur went by at top speed, followed by a galloping pink blur.

"Hi!" yelled the yellow-and-rainbow blur.

"Bye!" yelled the pink blur.

Lingonberry and Pinkie were having a glorious time together, yes.

"Hi-bai." Momoko's brain took a few seconds to catch up to what she'd just seen (and heard).

"AHHH! SO CUTE! BYE PROFESSOR PINKIE AND FRIEND!!!!!!"

Jon was putting up one of the posters advertizing his brilliant plan for the shop, and waved to Momoko. "Just visiting?"

Momoko waved back, stepping closer. "Yep! A vacation of sorts! I'm meeting my friend and just spending the weekend here having fun and relaxing! How's everything with you?"

"Pretty good. Enjoying watching the minor freakouts going on this weekend with the kids and all." Because it was just so amusing when it was happening to other people.

Momoko was a bit confused. "Kids?"

Jaime wasn't sure why his portal dropped him off on the wrong side of town, but he knew better than to complain to Portalocity. That never accomplished anything. So he slung his backpack over his shoulder and trudged his way toward town.

Or that's what he started out doing. Then he spotted a familiar shock of red hair and... paused. He should say hi, right? He probably should.

It would be the polite thing to do. Especially since at his natural pace he was totally going to overtake her in a moment or six. Unless he decided to slow down and enjoy the view take a different route into town, of course.

Actually, he did slow down. Not so much that he wasn't going to catch up in a minute or so, but enough to buy some time to think. Figure out exactly what he wanted to say.

Which would have been a lot easier if he hadn't gotten distracted by enjoying the view.

He'd better come up with something soon, then, because Momoko was just about to realize that the footsteps behind her had slowed but were still following her. She stepped a bit quicker and after a short distance, gave a small skip and turned round.

"Ah! Jaime!" Her prepared smile of casual and curious greeting actually grew ecstatic for a moment, seeing him so unexpectedly. "Hi! Are you coming or going?"

Lion-o was actually headed in the other direction, but he was happy to stop when he saw Momoko. "Hey, I was actually going to give you a call later on!" he said, grinning. "You should have told me you were going to be in town."

"Lion-o!" Momoko dropped her bag and jumped up to glomp Lion-o. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I missed you! I was totally going to surprise you since you didn't call me back!"

"Sorry. I sorta had my phone shut off," said Lion-o, looking a bit sheepish, though he didn't mind being glomped. "It's been a weird week. Oh, hey, you'd be totally proud of me. I stayed out of the shadowy corners at the prom last night."

He didn't dance, but staying out of the shadows was an improvement for him.

"Ah! You did! That's awesome!" She squeezed his neck a bit harder, then dropped back to her feet. "I wish I'd been there to see it! Next dance alumni can come to I am totally dragging you onto the dance floor!"

Dinah was hanging out on a park bench, camera and camera-phone at the ready, mochachino in hand, reading the newspaper. She heard Momoko and Jaime, though, and immediately got up to stand on her bench, grinning and waving her arms. "HELLO VISITING DIGNITARIES!"

From someone without dignity.

Momoko waved back, tossing kisses at her BFF. "Thank you! Thank you! No pictures, please!"

"Actually," Jaime chimed in with a grin, "you can take pictures, but you have to give me copies of all of them." Since there might be some of Momoko.

Dinah jumped off the bench and group-glomped them both. Hey, it'd been three months. "You guys. Dudes, you have to visit me more often!"
