Lion-o was already pouting before he got to Momoko's door. "Do you really have to leave? I hate having to say good-bye to people," he said.

Momoko crossed her own arms and faced him with her own pout. "If you're pouting, I totally can't hug you properly."

Lion-o sighed and tried to not to pout. "This summer just went by too fast. I can't believe you have to leave already," he said.

Momoko grinned and moved to hug him. "I know! I totally don't want to go! But I'll visit! And you still have to keep your promise to take me to see your Lair, remember!"

"Of course," said Lion-o, managing to smile just a bit. "Snark would love to see you. When I get a chance to go back, I'll give you a call first."

[heromaniac]

"Yay! I need to help with the next Candyfruit harvest!" She nodded sternly. "That better not be the only time you call, though. I'm going to miss you something awful, you know."

"I'll call all the time," he promised, hoping that he would actually remember to call. "And you can call me, or send emails or texts."

She laughed. "You don't have to call all the time. Just a lot. Keep me up to date on everything here and with your family. And no getting older than me again before I see you next!" Yes, she would always remind him of that.

"I'll call after all the invasions to let you know that I'm okay," said Lion-o, smirking. "And I'll stay far away from any suspension capsules when I go home."

[heromaniac]

"And asking for training for your sword! Although you've totally gotten better. And if they serve something totally super tasty at the Diner! Or if you find out how big the freezer is."

She pinched her lip.

"Okay, maybe you do need to call all the time."

Lion-o chuckled. "I can take a picture of the tasty stuff and send them on my phone, but unfortunately, I don't think there's technology to actually send you a sample," he said. "But I'm sure you'll come back to visit once in a while."

She poked at him. "Of course I'll visit! I'll probably miss all of you by the time I get home!" Or, right now. "You'll totally forget I'm not supposed to be here!"

"I doubt that. I'm sure I'll miss you every time something weird happens at Luke's," said Lion-o. "And who else will I have to share gossip about the new kids?"

"Still me!! You have to call and tell me how many new kids think you're going to eat them!" She rolled her eyes. "Which I still can't believe anyone would think about you. Nicest person ever!"

"I'll take notes and give you a full report after the picnic, then," said Lion-o, smiling once again.

"Yay!" Momoko cheered, surprisingly relieved to hear that. It was a bit more of a solid something to wait for. "And I'll tell you EVERYthing that happens at home, too. Even if I don't start at the academy for a little while."
