Telling her family that she'd been lying to them for three years and attending a school in another DIMENSION instead of just another country was not something Momoko had been looking forward to, but she had to do it if they were going to attend her graduation. And she really did want them there, so it had to be done.

So, she'd had a talk with the Professor, Ken, Kaoru and Miyako, then headed home and, with Kuriko sulking on the couch about her blackmail material being lost (and her own lying exposed), explained to her parents about Fandom High.

Their response?

Blinking and tons of in-depth questions and requests to see photos. Both of her parents being fans of various types of science fiction and fantasy meant that Momoko was sometimes answering questions with just, "uhm, because the island is weird?" and wondering if maybe she didn't want to set them loose on the island for the weekend.

(The photos were, by the way, a massive disappointment: "It looks so... normal!" and "Are you sure it's a different world?" being the biggest complaints)

After the questions seemed to settle down and she'd sworn them to secrecy (despite her mother's pout that it would finally put snooty Kinomoto-san in her place), Momoko took a deep breath and let loose with the secret she'd been keeping for even longer:

"And you can't tell anyone this either, but people at school know, so I need to tell you..." She took another breath, clasping and unclasping her hands. She'd battled monsters and fiends and zombies and harpies slinging... stuff, but this was totally harder. Maybe she should have taken Dinah's advice and done this earlier?

"I know I should have told you a long time ago, and I am totally sorry for lying all this time... Well, no, not really, because it was totally not just my secret and I only wanted to keep you safe. But I think it's totally time to tell you and I got permission from the others, so... Mom, dad?" She swallowed hard, then struck one of the more memorable of the Girls' poses. "I'm Blossom, of the Powerpuff Girls Z."

There was silence in the room for a moment, then her mother raised her hand slowly and frowned. "Momoko-chan...?"

"Yes?" Momoko nodded.

"If it's in another dimension, how will we get there?"

[Gotta love family. NFI/NFB. I am off to see the latest Tyler Perry movie (!!!) so they'll have to get to the island later tonight. :( ]
