Room 512, Tuesday late afternoon/early evening

Momoko was desperately trying not to think about what she'd pretty much been thinking about since they'd left Leda at the Clinic last night: the woman who had kidnapped Leda was dead. And not just dead - killed. By Leda. And Momoko hadn't been able to prevent it.

She'd hoped training with Azula would help clear her head, but it hadn't. And shooting down sim-tie fighter pilots in Spaceships class definitely hadn't. Even a lazy flight around the island hadn't done much beyond make her hungry.

It wasn't like she had a problem with people dying. Like she'd been trying to get Jaime to admit, death sometimes happened and it was no one's fault. But you were supposed to capture criminals. Defeating someone was enough; you didn't need to end their life. Sure she hadn't seen the fight, but Momoko couldn't help but believe that there could have been another way - somehow, they could have saved even her. That was what Heroes of Justice did, right? Save people. Even the bad ones.

She dropped her head to her desk. She'd been going over this in her head forever. It was done, right? The body was even gone.

She sighed and pulled her laptop closer, logging in to finally read her emails from the past few days, hoping to get her mind off things for a while.

"Eh! I missed Zack's birthday?!?"
