Alcove A1, Harpy Cabin Thursday afternoon

Jun 10, 2010 22:58

When Momoko came back to her alcove, she was amused to see Moshi sitting in the corner batting at it. "Moshi, you are totally weird," she said, moving to drop her things on the bed. "What's the matter, do you have a grudge against walls?"

"Mrrrrrrrrrow" came his low growly reply, which was... odd.

She moved over to him, concerned. "Moshi? What's wrong?" She reached out and lifted him, discovering a rather large lump of something sitting on the floor, tight against the corner. "Eh? You were playing? What were you playing with?" She shifted the still-growly cat to under one arm and reached out a hand to grab the grey lump.

Which was when the pigeon decided to uncurl itself and jump into attack mode, flying up and right into the face of an extremely freaked out Momoko. Moshi started chittering and struggled enough that Momoko finally lost her grip on him. "Ah! No! Moshi!"

And so began the destruction of the small alcove as the bird both evaded and attacked the cat, who was intent on catching the intruder while trying to escape the human, who couldn't understand why the bird wouldn't just fly out of the alcove! Finally Momoko caught Moshi and shoved him in his carrier. The bird landed on top of it, missing a few feathers, yes, but uneaten.

"Why didn't you just fly out? And how did you get in here in the first place?" Momoko flopped to the floor beside the carrier, sure the bird would flee, but it actually hopped a bit closer and cooed. "Are you strutting? I totally saved you, you know. You didn't win. Hey? What's on your leg?" She reached slowly out and fiddled a moment, eventually coming away with a strip of paper.

"'London Below'? I wonder where that is? And sending a message by a pigeon? Why didn't she just text?"

"Cooooo!"

"Sorry, no offense intended!"

[Open, sure]
