Jaime grinned, watching as his fingers laced through hers. "It's because I'm the best boyfriend ever," he declared with an easy grin.

"Oh? And who gave you that title?" Momoko teased, raising an eyebrow.

"You've got someone better in mind?" Jaime smirked back.

"Well, I haven't been given a list of contenders." She played with his fingers and smiled. "Though I think I'd be a totally biased judge."

"Biased? Or just a good judge of how awesome I am?" It was an important distinction!

"Biased for sure," she nodded. "Is that going to be a problem?"

"Well, not as long as you're biased in my favor." If not, though? Definite problem.

"I'm always biased in your favour," she chuckled, dismissing that with her free hand. "Something about being in love with you; I'm not totally sure how it works."

Jaime feigned a look of surprise. "Wait, what? You're in love with me? Since when?"

"I know, right?" Momoko bit back a giggle. "It's been forever! Like, five years! I'm totally upset."

"And you still haven't stopped." Jaime shook his head. "I knew you were crazy."

He squeezed her fingers between his, eyes sparkling.

"If you think that's crazy, you should hear how long it's going to last!" Momoko ran her thumb over his fingers. "I don't know how you're going to put up with me."

"You make it easy." Jaime smiled over at her, holding her gaze. "You make me want to."

She took a moment to just love him for that.

"Sounds almost like you're in love with me."

"There's a really good reason for that, actually."

He smiled, pulling her hand across the table so that he could press his lips against her knuckles.

"It's because I do love you."

"That's a very good reason," she smiled gently. "That's the best reason, actually. And totally gets you all the bonus points."
