Sunday, wandering San Antonio
Momoko had spent the morning putting in job applications and then the afternoon shopping for birthday presents for Lion-o and Jono. Now, she was just looking around the city and trying to get used to where things were. She was going to be moving here all the way in just a few weeks!!!
Well, if she passed this stupid math class and graduated.
Ugh. That thought made the books in her bag even heavier; Brenda had been tutoring her lately, but she gave even more homework than the actual professor!
"You're not stupid, Momoko, just lazy. You don't care enough about it to pay attention so you just have to work more," Brenda had explained, handing Momoko another list of assignments for the weekend.
"You totally know how to ruin a compliment, Brenda."
Momoko sighed and began looking for a cafe or bakery or something where she could sit in air conditioning and have something tasty while she worked on her, ugh, maaaaath.
At least for a little while. Then she was going to read the manga she'd found in a Japanese bookstore near the university!
