Momoko had called Jono weeks before regarding a personal and special mission and now she and Jaime and Jono were in Warren's New York on a mission to kidnap one of the wealthiest residents: Warren Worthington, Junior.
Since it wasn't the safest place for mutants, Jono had agreed to stay behind at the portal location (conveniently next to a small dive bar with terrible lighting and a worse jukebox) and stay in touch via telepathy while Momoko and Jaime made their way thru town.
Neither of the two men had been fond of Momoko's plan, it should be noted.
