skills, class abilities, and weaknesses

Outside of his Noble Phantasms, Gilgamesh is possessing of the following abilities:

Special Ability:
  • Soul Density

Gilgamesh's soul is as dense as hundreds of thousands of normal souls, and is capable of resisting the curse of the sins of all mankind without any sort of negative impact befalling his person; due to this "hardness" of soul, Gilgamesh is harder to effect through soul-targeting effects and magics, making Prana-debilitating attacks quite literally the only way to harm him.
  •
  • Extreme Firepower

As stated by the creator of the series, Gilgamesh has five-times the normal 'firepower' of all other servants, making him one of the -- if not the -- most physically powerful servant outside of Berserker or Iskander. Furthermore, he's said to be 30% stronger than Acureid of Tsukihime fame, who is one of the strongest beings in the shared "Nasu Universe" in which the Fate/Stay games reside.
Class Skills:
  • Magic Resistance
    Rank: E

Gilgamesh is in possession of so many magical artifacts, wards, and the like that he is essentially protected from any and all sorcery, though he only reduces their effectiveness by a full rank and can't nullify them.
  •
  • Independent Action
    Rank: A+

Due to being given a physical body during the events of the Fourth Grail war, Gilgamesh may act without the supervision and/or bonding of a Magus, effectively making him a "living" servant that need only Prana to survive.
Personal Skills:
  • Divinity
    Rank: B (A+)

Many of Gilgamesh's personal strengths stem from his blood heritage. Of the countless legendary or mythical figures in history, he originally possessed the most divine blood, for he was once two-thirds god. However, his hubris and defiant actions in life, as well as his disrespect for established deities, earned him the scorn of many divine figures, and in punishment for his actions Gilgamesh's divinity was reduced by a whole rank. Still, even reduced as he is, the King of Heroes may leap the height of small buildings, outrun most beasts better suited to the task or lift at his utmost strength a weight equivalent to that of an SUV. Additionally, his body will not tire as quickly nor will he succumb to the ravages of disease. Considering he was quite possibly the first person to ever display these traits, it is no wonder he was so idolized, so worshiped in his own time.
  •
  • Golden Rule
    Rank: A

Throughout history and mythology, individuals destined to amass vast fortunes and treasure are identified as possessing Golden Rule. Among these figures, Gilgamesh stands alone at the zenith of opulence, for he has at his disposal enough riches to purchase whatever he may need in any era of summoning. Everything within the Gate of Babylon is also golden -- so, yes, he has gold fishing rods. Lol.
  •
  • Charisma
    Rank: A+

Natural talent to command an army. To complement this wealth of a king, Gilgamesh also has the bravado of one. With this incredible ability, he is able to capably inspire and direct armies of any size, instilling them with such pride and passion for him and his objectives that their effectiveness in combat will increase. At this rank, it is not so much a skill as a curse. How he manages to be an utter jerk the rest of the time is anyone's guess.
Miscellaneous Skills:
  • Martial Mastery

Though he is not a master of every weapon located within the Gate of Babylon, Gilgamesh is a master of fighting. Whether it be with his fists, a blade, a bow, or whatever he may have on hand, he's fought and experienced enough years of war to know how to battle in whatever conditions, favorable or not. He is a brutally efficient and cunning opponent, learning his enemy's strengths and weaknesses on the fly while, at the same time, exposing and exploiting them until they're too frustrated or angry to think clearly; basically, he's the king of trash talk on top of being a barbarian in the extreme.
Other Weaknesses:
  • Prana Leak

Prana is the astral fuel for servants, given to them by their Magus so that they may maintain their physical form and use their many Noble Phantasms to do battle. In Gilgamesh's case, however, since he was given a physical body at the end of the Fourth Grail war he has no need to spend or receive Prana to maintain his physical form, instead taking it from...well, anyone else he can. Even if they're not Magi.
  •
  • Arrogance

Though Gilgamesh is one of -- if not the -- strongest Servant summoned during the Grail War, he never, ever, ever fights at his full potential due to believing that no one in the world is worth spending any of his serious abilities on, let alone strong enough to withstand it. This means that, unless agitated in the extreme or commanded to do so, he will never outright kill an opponent until he's had his fun proving just how much of a mongrel they really are to themselves and anyone else watching.
  •
  • Fear of Serpents

Gilgamesh hates snakes, hates snake-like entities, hates the people who revere snakes, and also unconsciously hates people with snake-like qualities. He's never too busy to go out of his way to destroy anything that should look like or remind him of one, as the bite from a heaven-sent serpent is what killed him in the first place so long ago.
  •
  • Cursed

Gilgamesh is cursed by many of the Babylonian Gods -- Ishtar and her father, especially -- which reduces his Divinity and Luck statistic by a full rank and makes him more susceptible to damage from Gods, God-like weapons, and other God-like beings. Effectively, he's only 2/3rds immortal, meaning that he does age as he now has a physical body.
