Mongrels, though I am loathe to admit it, I do believe you've turned Sheol into an even worse kind of hellhole in my absence....Tch, can none of you do anything right without the guiding light of Gilgamesh to lead you through it?

[ a sigh. ]

I suppose this means I'll be needing a place to stay again.

What poor timing you have, King of Kings. You missed the grand feast we held in your honor. You should have seen it. We transformed the streets into a wondrous gala of food and music. We drank to toasts of your many titles. The mongrels could speak of nothing but the epic battles you must have left us for. Why, we even convinced the rulers to join us in our celebration.

I am glad to see you are still in good spirits, Little Prince.

I admit your return betters my mood. The scientists made no effort to bring men of your... caliber into the city after you vanished. They strove to stock Discedo with worthless fools and women.

As is their want.

I hear that the skies have begun to rain acid down upon us -- how frequent are these showers?

As is their folly.

We suffered the scalding rain for but a day, though it was enough time for immeasurable damage to be done. I don't know if the heavens mean to assault us in that fashion again.

What precautions should be taken, in case the Gods seek to test us again?

Find shelter and do not stray far from it. That is the only advice those accustomed to such weather had to offer.

Lovely.

Hypothetically, how long would it take to dig a tunnel from each of the major apartment complexes to the underground sewer systems?

If you could gather three groups of hardy men to do the digging, hypothetically I'd guess four months, twelve days, five hours, ten minutes, and thirty-eight seconds.

Give or take a year. I have never been to the sewers, but I imagine they are a mess with the fire rain runoff.

Let them never say that Persians knew nothing of math.

Are you sure it would have to be three groups?

We brushed up on our numbers after the Grecian incident.

One group would suffice if it was motivated enough?

Good to know. On both accounts.

You... are not seriously considering the passageway idea, are you?

At the moment? Yes, even though it is slightly...unsound.

This City needs an evacuation plan.

... Slightly, he says.

You're right, of course, but to where do the sewers lead? Does anyone even know?

All we need is a place to reconnoiter, at this point. Most, if not all of us, can protect those who need it from the creature's therein.
