[Cue one very relieved dwarf. Not that he'll let on to that, especially not over the journals.]

What's going on right now? Apparently the Keep has been breached by an unknown something, that's probably lurking around out there waiting to eat us, and the night will be sticking around until that's taken care of.
[Oh, yeah, he's thrilled about this.]

I see. Then I guess I'll keep a light with me.
[Even if he doesn't actually need it to see by. Riku tucks his journal away and pulls the light from its support, careful not to burn himself as he summons up one of his corridors of darkness. If there's something slinking around the keep, he's just going to take the fast route.
A couple of minutes later, the other end of the corridor comes into existence inside the stable tower, and Riku's going to be coming through.
