Alexander: a tipical alpha male?

Trying to find something else, I stumbled across this article about ATG and alpha males and how ATG is a tipical alpha male. Well, I don't know much about psychology or alpha males, but it was a nice reading and not too long. So, here is a quote from there and the link:

These psychological diagnosis of ancient people based on ancient sources and modern ideas make me laugh :)
It's already difficult to make a psychological analysis of people you personally know...
I doubt there's a "biological significance" for most of human behaviors: modern studies of pale-anthropology (example, the studies by Leroi-Gourhan))show that behaviors are induced by culture. Beside, what does Wilson mean when talks about "homosexuality [wrong term, BTW] polygamy, self deification" for Alexander? These conceptions must be put in the right age and cultural context; they don't have an "universal meaning" and they can't be connected to a sort of aristotelian "universals", "archetypes".
Don't waste too much time on these "psycho-historical speculations" ;)

I meant "paleo-anthropology", not "pale-anthropology" :P

I do agree with all you said ;)
Still, it was fun to read and snigger a bit, at least for me.
