It's also not easy to say if he's the right information source, because we don't know much about his personality. If he really was arrogant and hard to get along with, querrelsome or whatever and had problems with Alex in the last months of his life it shouldn't be assumed that he tells truth. We don't know enough about their relationship to anticipate the way Heph would react to those questions.
But if I had a choice I would like to talk to Heph rather than to Alex, too. But it must be more than just one question... yeah, I would give him a hard time...
If I could ask Alexander a question and he had to answer me honestly, I would like to know what the oracles said to Alex. I'd like to force him to reveal his secret... :)

actually historians did find out what he asked the oracles...#1 would he conquer the world #2 did he avenge all those who killed his father and #3 was he really the son of a god (it seems to contradict the 2nd question...but whatever)
