Dream ♧ 003

Warning: None
Effect: Tremendous amount of happiness, with side helping of nostalgia and longing.

The sound of her family's chatter always made her feel safe for some reason.

She watched Lorina, with her lovely long hair and kind expression, pour a cup of water to Edith who was younger than her and still had her baby teeth. Her mother sat next to her young sister. She was pale and fragile-looking woman (she said she was fine, she said she was healthy enough to go out, she said-) and Lorina resembled her a great deal because she was pretty and full of grace just like her.

Mother was speaking softly to Father.

Father was a silent and to-business type of man; he never spoke much or expressed anything too openly. But when she observed her parents like this, she could tell he loved her so dearly, so tenderly. It was only in Mother's presence he could smile like he was now.

Young Alice's heart fluttered at this normal picnic scene.

Ever the concerned one, Edith nudged at her with a raised brow. "Why are you smiling to yourself like that? It's creepy."

"How rude," she picked up a sandwich from the basket, "I was just thinking that it was nice day today."
