I'm in Powell River for a bit. Had a visit with some of the folks who I knew back in my highschool days. One of them has an anarchy tattoo on his upper arm. He must have some idea of what anarchy means to have it tattooed on himself, but you can't see that in his daily life or conciousness. I thought about talking to him about the ideas of anarchy etc etc, but he was too busy blasting his metal, playing nintendo, and playing with the computer. Conversation wasn't much of an option over all of that. There's potential here though, with possibly a lot of the folks I know in Powell River. They know that regular life doesn't work for them, but they don't seem aware that there are other options, or that they can fight for change. I don't think that they've realized that there can be more to there lives that sitting around being bored all day, waiting for something to happen. I don't know if I'm making any sense:
There's potential here for some rad radical politics... its just a matter of getting to folks.
