I hope you don't mind sharing with Vivi. There's one room that might open up, but at the moment a friend is recovering in it.

Good. I'm on my way!

[True to her word, she arrives at the fountain a short while later.]

[As does he and he's already sitting on the fountain's rim when she arrives. He hopes off, tail swaying, and waves.]

[The tail gets her attention, but...well, she's seen weirder. Both outside Luceti and in it. She flashes a warm smile.]

Zidane, right? Vivi told me about you.

[He shoots her a charming grin in return.]

That's me. Oh, did he? Good things, I hope.

[She nods.]

Oh, yes. I had to be sure about who wanted to move in, after all. It's this way. We're at the very edge of town.

[She beckons, heading in a different direction than she had arrived. Zidane's message caught her on the way home.]

I should probably tell you about all the people you'll be staying with...unless Vivi beat me to it?

I understand. I hope I don't make the place too crowded.

[Lucky him! He follows her, arms bent behind his head. He shakes his head at her statement.]

Nope, he didn't tell me. I only know you and him are there.

[She darts a smile over at him.]

Don't worry about the space. We have six rooms, and it's nice to see them all used. There's no point in getting a large house if it goes to waste, after all.

Eiko, Vivi and yourself aside, the rest of us are all from the same world. There's Cecil and his wife Rosa. They're both kind and polite people--and Rosa's a white mage, so we do have another healer in the house. I only barely qualify. Cecil's a paladin and while there's no one I trust more, he can be the king of taking things too seriously, sometimes.

[A fond smile there, despite the slight ribbing.]

I think you talked to Edge, right? He can be competitive and egotistical, but in the end he has a kind heart. He's one of the people I trust most...but don't tell him that. Kain is a guest, also from our world but he likes to keep himself aloof. Don't take it personally if he's that way with you.

[He listens curiously. Ah, they were all from the same world then? Well he figured that made sense. The mention of a white mage made him think of Dagger and he felt a bit sad suddenly.]

Interesting. Okay then. Secrets safe with me, though Edge didn't strike me as egotistical. I guess I don't know him well enough.

[He laughs.] Well... thanks for looking after Vivi and Eiko. They can get into trouble.

[She smiles fondly at mention of Vivi and Eiko.]

I'm happy to do it. Vivi's a sweetheart and Eiko's a lot of fun. Besides, she's a Summoner, too. There aren't many left where I'm from either, so finding another is kind of like a family reunion.

[He looks surprised at this. Somehow he didn't think summoners existed in other worlds.]

Whoa, you're a summoner also? No wonder Eiko likes you so much. She's the last one of her kind where we're from. Well, second to last. Dagger's also a summoner, although she didn't know it until recently.

Dagger--oh right, Eiko mentioned her. Well, if she arrives here too, we'll still have room.

[She frowns a bit.]

Unfortunately, being a Summoner doesn't mean anything here. I've tried summoning, but that's on ability the Malnosso won't let us have. It's probably better that they're not subjected to this place, anyway.

Really? That'd be great. But I promise if we get too big we'll find our own house.

[He frowns too. He had just been about to ask.]

I see... Do they lock our abilities then?
