Little Things

Ecstasy does not have
To be substantial
In order to be
Important.

In fact it more
Often comes from
The little things,
Like finding a
Long forgotten pair
Of mittens, or
Driving under
A tunnel that is just long enough to cut
Off
The cell phone.

And it is this
Repetition of
Tiny ecstasies--
That some will never
take much notice
of--that will
Ultimately keep us
Hovering just above
The Mean streets and
Two blocks from the
Mental Health Unit.
