My proposal
wow.I haven't updated in almost a year!freakin nuts. Anyways I figured I'd post the events of our engagement here, I just copied and pasted from my mysace blog:
Yeah that was fun. Sorry about posting this so late, but as most of you know last Saturday I got married to Amanda...yeah. So heres how it went:
I've had this planned since around late 2005 so I had plenty of time to prepare. I bought the ring and then just simply waited till A-Kon 17, which is an annual anime-videogame convention from June 9-11. Unfortunatley we waited too long to make my Link costumeand Mimi's Zelda costume and worked tirelessly to make them. More of the reason I wanted to marry her because she's been working so hard (Note: she's a big romantic sap!) and I wanted to ask her to marry me to relieve a lott of her tension as well as.....well....cuz I wanted to marry her! Anyways Friday at A-Kon came and went, I planned to ask her during the Cosplay event(I was hoping for an audience) . We woke up around 12:00 noon and screwed around with the costumes for about an hour. We left to go sign up for the cosplay event around 2 or 3 and those pricks at A-Kon told me that the event was full! That really really pissed me off cuz the sign up was from about 12 noon to 5 and the damn event actually filled up! I was so frustrated (at myself as well because I should signed up earlier) but also due to the fact that my plan was blown to hell due to to that bullshit. Anyways I just said "Fuck it" and decided to ask her right there and then. While she was in the Dealers room I gathered everyone back to my hotel room and we got the ring and just went for it. Steve-o, Tony, Matchu, Trunks and Soto, and Brian were there with me. I wanted Sean to be there but he was in the cosplay event and I was too frustrated to wait. I found Mimi and took her to the Trunks and Soto at the bottom floor of the Con and popped the question. She teared up and said yes. I felt better, but was still pissed that it wasn't as I planned, but then oh well, right? I just got engaged!! (fanfare) anyways we were all happy and had a tiny audience(if you witnessed it thank you for being there for me even though you had no clue who the hell I was or what was going on!) An hour later we went to the cosplay event and I started felling a little depressed about me not being able to propose as planned on the event so we left around the second or third entry. Later on I found out another Zelda and Link couple got engaged and I gotta admit that did piss me off a bit[not at the couple, congratulations to them too! :) ] but that my plan was kinda messed up. Hardly anyone knew about a Link and Zelda couple that got engaged BEFORE the cosplay event. Ah well I had fun. At least I 'm engaged right? At least SOME people saw our engagment. Some people on 4chan.org were talking about us too. That made me feel better. Again congrats to the other Link and Zelda who got engaged. We'll be going to A-Kon next year so maybe I'll see ya there.
