Apocalypse: my thoughts and some caps!
My thoughts are very likely going to be unpopular. I'm not looking for an argument and you most definitely don't need to agree with me. This is just for my own personal venting, k? :)
The caps will be 99% Lex, with one Kara and one Clark. You're been warned!
Firstly, I was bored in this episode. I found the pace way too slow and Clark WAY TOO dumb. I mean, dumb over and over and over again. My Clark Kent actually has a working brain, thanks.
The episode made no sense. The timeline was wrong. Lex would have had to be 35 to be Prez, for one. Was that in the future? Please specify.
If Kara came down and was raised with Lex, why did he lose his hand? He loses his hand getting cancer/kryptonite infection because of the ring he uses to keep Superman at bay *cough* Onyx *cough*. Why did he turn evil at all if Lionel was good and he had a loving sister growing up? Why was Kara so damn submissive to Lex, her foster younger brother, and then to Clark? Either Lex is evil and Kara is corrupted as well, or Kara is still good and so is Lex. No, SV, you can't have it both ways. Sorry. Not with the Lex you presented me this entire series.
I got that Brainiac wanted Kara and Zod-in-Lex's-body to procreate. THAT was believable.
Chloe having a fiance because Clark's not in her life? Believable. But I wish they had mentioned her job and HER Pulitzer prize. If this is the only vision we're getting of this AU, it needs to be complete. Less time with Clark trying to figure out shit and more info, thanks.
Lana went to Paris, married and had kids, Good for her. Is she a famous/fulfilled artist, too? I honestly don't remember what Jimmy-the-boob said, and I don't wanna watch that part again. It would be nice if her happiness were not, for once, determined by being with a man. I AM a married woman, I have a child, and I'm a stay-at-home mom. I believe I can get away with thinking/saying that.
Lois. Is pretty. Her skirt was TIGHT. And she had more brains than Clark. Also, she was conveniently at the right place at the right time to hear the "Eagle" code that Clark couldn't begin to figure out. BDA. Oh, how I'd love for a GOOD Lois to be written and acted out by Erica. She rocks at it, but her character sucks.
I found no reason for that AU to be plausible. It was a construct of Jor-El's to show Clark that women are better off without him and that he's needed to stop Brainiac *IN MY OPINION*. I reserve myself the right to have it.
Oh, and once again, the world revolved around Lana. *yawn*
I really liked Tom's directing of FRAGILE. This episode? Not so much at all. And if Clark gets any slower on screen, we'll need to start using our FF buttons.
