i learned today that each of those little polyps on a soft coral is an entire organism. that is super cool.
i also learned that the girl who has been talking to some guy on the phone in the lab for the past TWENTY MINUTES is NOT SUPER COOL. she's incredibly obnoxious.
let's see. i owe some people some e-mails, but i can't do so right now because i'm trying to do four labs at once. if i wasn't a slacker, then i would do them when they were supposed to be done. but these people know that i love them still. and they can rest assured knowing that i'll almost positively be in town this weekend. huzzah! more details following today's crazy schedule.
wait....are we still seeing finding nemo? must call lex.
i sneezed and a nice boy said "bless you." i like when strangers tell you that for some reason. i am dumb.
MY GOODNESS, WAS THE WEEKEND CAKE-FILLED OR NOT? it was intense. we went to macaroni grill on friday and i had free friggin chocolate cake, aka, the DEVIL, and a nice lady sang to me. i feel embarassed when people sing TO ME. like i should look away or something. i smiled like a goon, but that's about all.
after THAT, we went to sadie's on my actual birthday (saturday), and the freaking out lady brought me cheesecake and some blonde woman made everyone in the restaurant sing to me. how embarrassing. no one wants to sing happy birthday to some random girl, right? right.
we then proceeded to drive to tcby, some of us in drunken states, to pick up ANOTHER CAKE. a tcby no sugar added cake. i don't even want to think about it. i'll put a picture up later.
oh yeah, and i didn't even MENTION the thursday cake. daniel, the best boy in the entire world, made me a french vanilla cake with white chocolate almond frosting. all lots of sugar added. dammit. but it was swell, and nice, and then we went to see "28 days later" at the dollar theater. i'm STILL not sure how i feel about that movie. lex and i kept talking about people that looked "infected."
yesterday we almost died. it wasn't really cool. i think that people who have ladders in their pickup trucks on the highway should kind of make sure that they don't fall out onto the freeway. totally.
well, more exciting sarah goodness later. i am cold and have to walk to the music center. at least we're wearing jackets for chilly days. sometimes things get chilly. AND, you all will be subject to MORE pictures. utter chaos! i got the best camera in the world on friday. perhaps i'll find a picture. huzzah!
love you all (most of you).
lex: (reading) "it's not just a basket, it's an heirloom."
me: (singing as usual) "...my precious Jesus is more than an heirloom to meeee...."
lex: (talking about something completely different) "my God!"
me: "exactly."
mom: "i looked at the map and it told me i was confused."
