My take on the final ep...
It was awful. I hated the last ep. There was a lot of waste of space (Thomas running, although I love them the Katie/Thomas scene, the Emily/Naomi scenes). It just dragged on with unimportant stuff. I hated the Emily/Naomi storyline and I was disappointed they got back together and Thomas/Pandora is the same feeling.
Freddie was one of my favorite characters and he died without tribute. I mean with series 2, Chris got a beautiful funeral and Freddie gets a few mentions. I was hoping (if Freddie didn't survive) that there would be a sweet funeral with a beautiful speech from Effy. But I was so disappointed and frankly, heartbroken.
I just recently got back into Skins after series 2 but I just don't think this series gave me much confidence in the writers and therefore, unless I hear amazing things about it, I am not going to watch the next series.
The last scene with Cook was amazing but it shouldn't have been the final scene.
