So I just got hit by a wall of grey.

Then I had to learn how to play the drums, and fought a giant lobster.

With drumming.

Also, I turned into some weird masked hero and I can't get the costume or mask to go away.

..this isn't the weirdest thing to happen to me.

Oh, don't worry about it too much.

When the scene ends you'll shift back.

Unless it matters for plot or character reasons, you'll never need to shift back automatically. It just sorta happens.
