Summary: The conversation between Kushina and Minato after they have spoken to Naruto for the first time in sixteen years.
Disclaimer: DOES NOT OWN NARUTO.
Kushina re-appeared before Minato in the white walled and floored room within Naruto’s mind, she was crying.
She ran into Minato’s arms and continued to sob heavily into his shirt.
Her tears seeped into his skin after infiltrating through his shirt.
He held her close, he’d never felt so helpless.
She pulled away from him slowly, an endless stream of tears pouring down her face.
She listened intensely to his heartbeat whilst he was holding her, even though she knew that since both of them were dead that they shouldn’t have heartbeat.
But as long as Naruto remembered them both and their sacrifices they would live on forever in the depths of his conscience.
She rubbed her eyes gently with the side of her hands, her violet eyes met with Minato’s bright blue eyes.
She flinched - his eyes reminded her of her recent meeting with her son.
The blond hair too also didn’t make it any easier for her to stop thinking about Naruto.
Minato reached out for the red-headed Uzumaki and clung onto her tightly, gently rubbing her back to comfort her.
He continued to cling onto his wife as the tears in his oceanic blue eyes began to slowly but painfully well up.
Kushina forced herself to stop crying and brushed the dirt away from her dress.
She smiled back up at her husband, “He’s so handsome, he looks just like you Minato.”
Minato smiled down at the kunoichi and kissed her on the forehead.
Kushina made a faint laugh, “He said my red hair is beautiful too.”
“So you told him what happened on that day?”
Kushina nodded and bit her lower lip as a reminder of her conversation with Naruto.
Minato sighed, “I wish I could have spent more time with him.”
Kushina gently rubbed Minato’s shoulder and returned for another embrace.
“Jiraiya-sensei he is the child of prophecy, what more can be said about our son?”
Kushina took Minato’s hand and slowly led him away from the spot where they had shared their feelings about meeting with their son.
Minato paused momentarily and ran his hands through Kushina’s fire red hair.
She stood up on her tiptoes and kissed him gently on the lips.
“I love you, Minato,” she beamed a smile up at the shinobi.
“I love you too, Kushina," he took back the hand of his red headed kunoichi.
“I think Naruto will be a fine Rokudaime Hokage,” Kushina wrapped her arm around Minato’s waist.
“We will always have faith in you, Naruto.”
