So Susan got me a D-Wheel.

... I never even learned how to ride a bicycle. Umm.. c-can anyone help me learn how to ride this?

.... preferably in a way that won't leave me flying off of it and somehow not breaking my back whenever I try to turn?

icpost, d-wheel

Motorcycle's easier to learn to ride than a bike. Just hurts more if you crash.

If you learn how to do it the same way most people learn how to drive, you should be fine.

How do most people learn how to drive?

Once they get their learner's permit they drive around at three miles an hour in a spacious parking lot with their parent riding shotgun with a death grip on the emergency brake lever.

..... I don't want either of my parents riding shotguns.

It...it's an expression, kid. It means you sit in the front passenger's seat.

...... oh.

... I don't think I want that either.

Well D-Wheels don't have that anyway. You'd probably require somebody to ride alongside you.

Not sure if they even have them in Japan. I know licenses are issued by the public safety commissions.
