Aquire the Fire-San Antonio

May 03, 2006 11:10

All though there was alot of drama that happened here in the valley, it was The best weekend for me, in a long time.
Aquire the Fire in San Antonio is kinda like the Mighty Warriors post i put up that happened in November, except this one was better.
It's a huge convention that had like 5 professional Christian bands play.
Jeremy Camp, Seventh Day Slumber, Superchic[k], Kj-52, and umm..someone else...i forgot....
but the praise and worship band was awesome...The Michael Gungor band...man, that guy can go crazy on the guitar.
i think our band is getting better..we had a good practice already yesterday...we'll move on up, practice more and then get a deal...ok, maybe bnot that far...but it's all good

because of this convention...(be preparred for what your about to hear) dun dun dun...i got rid of all my "worldly cd's"
i've been in the process of changing for the past year or more...so i took it to the next level. in all honesty, it's not that hard, and if u think about it....these cd's dont do much but get me depressed, angry or wanting sumthing that i dont need or dont have...and as for the songs that are "insparational"....u have to admit, the artists and singers dont live much of a good life that back the song up. they either smoke, drink and most of them cuss like crazy... and do drugs, ...in all honesty, i dont need any of that in my life. i'm past that stage and i'm doing good. i just need to be doing better.
next on my list is to control my anger. i get angry easily and i need to take focus that some things r not always what they seem. i need to stop talking also...i talk to much and say things i shouldnt. yeah, bad Mel!!!

but it was a good time, wonderful convention, and i loved it.
