Hidden Gems.

So. When you kids open your boosters and dig through your cards looking for your precious rares, or looking through big tins of commons for something you might wanna trade for or trade off, keep your eyes open, because there are a lot of cards that, while they may not have been particularly relevant upon being printed, are highly useful now.

Here's one of 'em.

Rivalry of the Warlords
Continuous Trap
Each player sends monsters from his/her side of the field to the Graveyard so that he/she only controls 1 Type of monster. As long as this card remains on the field, each player can only have 1 Type of monster on the field.

If you run a deck where your monsters are almost entirely one type - plants, dragons, psychics, warriors all come to mind - you may want to consider running a copy or two of this card. Most decks these days include a fair amount of cards that have been teched in, and many themes aren't mono-type either. Gladiator Beasts and Lightsworn can both get slapped by this card. It can also prevent Lightsworn from using Plaguespreader, which is a bonus. The only downside is unless you run psychics or warriors, synchros will probably be locked down for you using this trap, but if your deck can win without a bunch of synchros that break theme, ala plants, warriors, or psychics, that doesn't matter.
