Hehe. I'm making up for my lack of posts last week (though I have some responses written on paper. Never got around to typing them.)

(Should we start calling it Peter's Canvas...? ;))

Nooes! Definitely keep it Isaac's canvas. He will be remembered, demmit!

The Killer and the Nightmare Man - Maury Parkman (you are right, what a name *L* and another "M" name. Those just keep on rolling), I think, is just one threat of many. We have him and the hooded figure. Another potential enemy is fear itself. What you think could happen is just as crippling as something that is real. And isn't usually the nightmare bigger than its maker? It's typically blown out of proportion and often distorted. Which plays nicely into what you were saying about the distorted images in both Matt's and Nathan's nightmares, doesn't it? :D Except, in Nathan's case, what he fear could really spell out trouble for NY.

More questions about Maury. He's been out of Matt's life for twenty-five years. What has he been doing in all that time? How long ago was the picture on the Deveaux roof taken? And the basic question that you suggested: Why? What is his intent for doing this?

So Matt and Nathan find a picture of Bob Midas in Maury's apartment. Was this left as a decoy, or did he really forget to bring the picture with him when he goes after Bob?

Hm. What about nightmares as a form of punishment? The sins they've all done. And people like Molly, who really hasn't done anything wrong, just get caught in the cross-fire. I think you might be on to something when you say that Maury is working for someone.

Major Themes and Symbolism

Facing Your Fears - :D Yay for hurt/comfort time. It's variations on this theme that made me very bitter with other fandoms. The canon just was afraid to go far enough to ask the right questions, or ask any questions at all. This seems to be a fear that Heroes, by and large, lacks. They're willing to push that envelope. Matt had to faced his estranged father.

Niki is facing Jessica with the help of The Company. I'm not really convinced that this is what happening. Niki and Jessica seemed to make peace at the end of season 1.

Nathan has to face the sins of his past and those that came before him. Something that Pasdar mentioned a while back about the theme this season, he said that Nathan has to face the sins of his father, too. But before he can get there, maybe he does have to deal with his own sins.

I'm in the same boat. When Niki turned to the company in 2x03, I believed it had to do with the virus. Maybe the 'aggravation' of Jessica again has something to do with that? Or maybe how ever The Company is treating Niki is bringing out Jessica's aggression?

Then what do you believe her outburst was? Because that was obviously an angry, Jessica moment she was having all over Bob.
