Aww. It was so cute, but depressing, but cute. I feel like I just went on a crazy rollercoaster ride. I'm impressed, if this were my writing (besides my writing being far less complex or impressive) I would have instantly run for the angst-hills. But you made it so real.

He rattles it off like it has no meaning to him. Like he didn't campaign to make her homecoming queen, or throw rocks at her window to sneak her out, or convince her that maybe she was someone worth being friends with. Because no matter how many times she tells him, it's just a story.

Can I just say, ouch? Because damn. That last line killed me.

This is my first Claire story because even though I love the thought of Peter and Claire, it also kinda scares me in that fic about them can go very, very wrong. But this is amazing. If we were able to look into her brain, I think this is exactly what she'd be thinking. You nailed it so very spot on. If it doesn't happen like this on the show, I'll be disappointed.
