Just a quick reminder to everyone that community promoting and/or advertising isn't allowed here without express permission, so any post I see that isn't fic and that I don't remember okay-ing will be deleted without notice. Honestly, I'm really lenient and there's very little chance I'll turn you down if you ask to promote your community, but I don't want this place to get overrun with ads, so I'd like to check them out first. Just shoot me an e-mail and I'll get back to you ASAP, promise. :)
Secondly, I'm always open for affiliates, so if you have a Heroes-themed community and would like to affiliate, feel free to drop me a line on any of my posts or send an e-mail to rockinsteady @ gmail[dot]com.
Speaking of Heroes-themed communities, I have a few I'd like to mention, and if they seem like something you'd be into, go check them out! heroes50 and heroes15 are table prompt communities where you can claim a character, pairing, or general show theme and write fifty or fifteen stories, respectively, based on prompt words. If you're looking for more spur of the moment, spontaneous prompts, check out heroes_flashfic. Every few weeks they issue a new challenge, and it's always something new and creative and inspiring. The current challenge, for example, is "Over the Rainbow," and they're looking for AU fics.
Last, but certainly not least, I'd like to mention that I've added the fabulous and unrivaled dementedlove on as a mod, and she has been and will be handling the tagging for the community. She's wonderful and has helped me out immensely by taking on the job. Tagging is not a very glamorous job, but she's keeping the community organized and easy to navigate for everyone who uses it, so she deserves a lot of thanks. ♥
And so does everyone who has kept this community thriving, either by submitting or reading fic, so thank you guys, too! :)
