I stopped the show to comment - Sylar was in the back seat of Chandra's taxi. But we also clearly see a fist go through the window of the car. So we see the fist go through the window, then Chandra looks startled, and Sylar - from behind him - grabs either side of his head and smashes him against the driver's side window, which is intact. What does this mean?
It could be that Sylar has some form of limited teleportation. I've seen it called shadow-walking elsewhere. It could be that he needs an unbroken path to teleport along and he needed to smash the window to get inside.
It could mean that Sylar can't use his telekinesis through a barrier at this point. (Later, we see him use it through the Level 5 glass on Eden, so if this is a limit, perhaps it was a limit he overcame.)
It could be symbolic - the fist through the glass.
It could be bad writing or bad filming, where they intended to write/film it one way and ended up with another. Like if the initial writing was of a fist through window, then banging Chandra's head against the strut of the door, but when they got to filming it, realized that was too graphic, didn't lend itself to a good angle, or ended up exposing too much of Sylar who was supposed to be a mystery at this point, so they went with the back seat option, but didn't edit the film right to be consistent.
