A/N: This was written for brighteyed_jill’s personal kink meme. But it was a little too long to fit into the comment-style of the thread, so here it be! Inspired partly by the series “Rome” for historical underpinnings, partly by the movie “Gladiator” for spectacle, and partly by my own fevered imagination of what I think is cool. Summary: An AU where Nathan, Peter, and many other “gods-touched” are part of fighting stable of gladiators in ancient Rome. When a horrible fate is to befall one of their own, the two brothers must use their hard-earned fame to gain the influence they need to spare one of their brothers-in-arms…
