Peter doesn’t like him, at all, nor the way the invisible man treats him, but he must live with it if he wants to spare New York from destruction - or so he keeps telling himself. Perhaps that is not the case. Maybe he just wants to do something, hang onto someone, and tell himself he is doing all that he can to save the world.
