Peter watches, barely breathing, from across the room.
Under the soft lights of the hotel room, Adam’s skin is flawless; a pale, unblemished, canvas from the nape of his neck to the barely concealed swell of his ass. He shifts, restlessly, the covers slipping lower. Long fingers tense then relax against the pillow.
Slowly, as if unwilling to disturb the air, Peter picks up the damp brush and dips it into the dark pool of ink. His eyes become clouded.
They clear, hours later, to a scene of utter devastation.
A single drop of red beads onto the white sheet.
