On to AO Final
I'm usually happy when Maria wins ( I still like her)but today isn't one of those days. I feel so bad for Jelena who is really struggling with injuries already and the season is just starting.
There would have been no doubt that it would be closer under normal circumstances. Maria did not play NEARLY AS WELL as she did against Justine Henin. (For those who are just looking @ scores would easily assume that Justine played crap; She didn't.)
FYI though, I honestly believed that Ana played better than Maria in their respective semis!
THE OTHER SEMI
Lol Daniela, judging with the way you were playing in the first set, you could have beaten Ana 6-0 6-1. That's how well you are playing. Only 5 UE and amazing winners w/ reasonable amount of error margin. She went back down to earth after 8 games and Ana picked it up.
There was also some SHOE SQUEAK CONTROVERSY. Daniela was complaining about it during and after the match. I can definitely see why since the squeak comes just a second before you hit the serve. But then again, what the heck is Ana suppose to do? She has to move for the return. I don't think Daniela was being a cry baby.
Anyway this AO is mostly over for me now that Jelena is out. I might watch a few games of the final but I'm now looking forward to the next televised tournament here.
