Back to the Real World!
The last few days have been surreal. I have finally, offically graduated and it feels damn good! The lock-in party was great too though I pulled a muscle in my leg while playing ball in the pool. Everything was perfect.
Back to tennis...
Maria wins first round though not without a fight. She gave up 20mph on serve so she can get it in and not pressure the shoulder. I haven't seen the Craybas match but from the looks of it the board, Maria played really well. Schnyder will be the first tough test. She'll need to jack up the serve when that time comes. The draw looks good for her.
The Serbian supremacy continues with Jankovic and Ivanovic winning easily. They're like the new duo now that there is no Kim and Justine anymore. I still pick Jankovic to win and be in the top 3 a few months later. Probably bumping Masha out of her place.
All American men out in the first round. No suprise there. It's really sad watching them struggle when their serve is negated by the clay.
Fed and Nadal rivalry still on course to continue in this tournament. Ascione put up a fight in the 3rd set though I think he was just getting lucky that those 'haymakers' were going in.
