This is getting to be ridiculous. The way we're tiptoeing around the subject and feeling terrible about it for different reasons, all three of us... it's stupid and not going to accomplish anything if one of us never says "oh, to hell with this" and gets the other two to resolve it together, rather than sit there and angst.
