Making small talk
I have grown impatient with small talk. I just feel like there is more that I could be doing with that time other than chatting over irrelevant things. I just think that this is an epidemic sweeping the nation. You have to talk to everyone. Simple tasks take much longer because you are unable to get these people to be quiet. I suppose this makes me sound like a bitch, but I was at the gas station attending to pay for gas. My feet were killing me and the cashier wanted to have long drawn out conversations with the three people in front of me and then me. All I wanted was to get my gas and go. She didn't get the hint that I was in a rush so I had to sit there and listen to the story of her kids. Honestly, I was in no mood and it just annoyed me. I hope this doesn't seem to petty.
