i know nothing about chinese astrology or the realness of it but according to http://www.wofs.com/fortuneluck_2006.htm the dog would have "new opportunities in career, business and most importantly in romance." and you will have a luckier time compared to last year?? so i'm hoping a smooth flow for you (and your bourgeoning relationship ;))

apparently dogs are in conflict with the taisui, which also means that you better do something about your feng shui to buffer the conflict or this year will be kinda tough...
