So thrilled for some real winter.

I woke up around 8am, saw it was white outside, and decided to go back to sleep.  I woke up again around 10am and got up.  Found out later that the Congregational had service (7 hardy souls showed up) so I felt kinda bad about not having gone, especially since (a) when I saw Shelby yesterday I told her I expected to be attending and (b) I had a very lazy day.  Though I'm not sure if I would have been comfortable there anyhow.  It was announced yesterday that United was gonna have a 5pm service, but midafternoon they decided that was a no-go as well.

The car died last night.  My brother was back for an orthodontist appointment and my parents were supposed to bring him back to school today.  They procured a rental today, though, and ~6pm today the announcement went out that "due to the severity of the snow storm," school is canceled tomorrow.  (I had just looked outside and noted how well-plowed/shoveled it was, sidewalks included, but I suppose not all the sidestreets are necessarily that clear.)  So my dad will have plenty of time to work on getting the car fixed tomorrow :)

My computer keeps hovering around 200megs of free space, which I always blame on the fact that it's only an 18gig harddrive, but my brother was poking around before he left and found that I had a Temporary Internet Files folder of 5+gigs.  wtf?  I try to be good about keeping that cleared out.  So yeah, now I have oodles of free space and my computer can stop spazzing.

I don't like all the GDB mp3s I dl-ed, but I still love this one.All Will Be Well
The Gabe Dixon Band

The new day dawns
And I am practicing my purpose once again
It is fresh and it is fruitful if I win
But if I lose
Ooh, I don't know.
I'll be tired but I will turn and I will go
Only guessing till I get there then I'll know
Oh, I will know

All the children walking home past the factories
Can see the light that's shining in my window as I write this song to you
And all the cars running fast along the interstate
Can feel the love that radiates, illuminating what I know is true

All will be well
Even after all the promises you've broken to yourself
All will be well
You can ask me how but only time will tell

The winter's cold
But the snow still lightly settles on the trees
And a mess is still a moment I can seize until I know
That all will be well
Even though sometimes this is hard to tell
And the fight is just as frustrating as hell
All will be well

All the children walking home past the factories
Can see the light that's shining in my window as I write this song to you
And all the cars running fast along the interstate
Can feel the love that radiates, illuminating what I know is true

All will be well
Even after all the promises you've broken to yourself
All will be well
You can ask me how but only time will tell

Keep it up and don't give up and chase your dreams
And you will find
All in time

All the children walking home past the factories
Can see the light that's shining in my window as I write this song to you
And all the cars running fast along the interstate
Can feel the love that radiates, illuminating what I know is true

All will be well
Even after all the promises you've broken to yourself
All will be well
You can ask me how but only time will tell
All will be well
Even after all the promises you've broken to yourself
All will be well
You can ask me how but only time will tell.
You can ask me how but only time will tell.
