"Joy Sadhana is a daily practice in the observation of joy."

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light. And they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. (Isaiah 9:2, Handel's Messiah)

Good things about today:
  • ~8-9 hours of sleep (tho apparently I was still tired, as I was dozy during the concert tonight -- partly I have difficulty focusing on music without words, but I think there was also legit tiredness)
  • morning church
  • Rooftop People
  • la bff forwarded me this Dilbert cartoon
  • my mom likes TeaLuxe a lot, as I'd expected (because we knew it would be so cold today, I proposed meeting at TeaLuxe)
  • evening with my mom
Things I did well today:
  • successfully grabbed Jeff B. for a hug during Coffee Hour (something I didn't manage last Sunday)
  • went upstairs to anchor Rooftop People
good thing about today: Elizabeth F. said that Missy told her, "I'm going to give you an Elizabeth [my surname] hug." I appreciate my rep :)
  • posted an announcement to the CWM website re: tonight's worship being at EDS
  • did some work on my preach for tomorrow night
  • told my mom about the recent [redacted v.2] (and, good thing about today: my mom's primary concern is about my getting hurt)
Things I am looking forward to (doing [better]) tomorrow:
["anything that you're looking forward to, that means you're facing tomorrow with joy, not trepidation," as Ari says]
  • burrito bar is open for lunch

music: concerts, family: my mom loves me, free hugs, people: church: elizabeth f., comics: dilbert, people: church: missy, joy sadhana
