Anyone want to help me out?

For a class I'm in, we're asked to have others fill out this questionnaire. We're encouraged to find people who have distinct differences from us in age, religiosity, gender, sexuality, major, etc. I figured: what better place to ask than the internet?

So here are the questions. It would be helpful if you could also post a description in terms of the categories above (and whatever other categories you consider important to your personality) along with your answers. I'll screen responses to this post, so that you can feel comfortable saying whatever you'd like. I'd especially be interested in hearing from sabethea and bileduct.

1. There is a passage in the New Testament that says: "For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is no longer Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:27-28). What do you think this passage means?

2. What does this passage have to say about the differences between people? What kind of differences are discussed and what happens to those differences when people are "in Christ Jesus"?

3. If a community tried to live out the ideas in this passage, what would they do? What would they look like?

4. Finally, it says in other places in the New Testament that Christian slaves should obey their masters or that women should stay silent in the church. Why do you think it says those things? Do those passages contradict the one in Galatians?

Thanks in advance for the help.
