Date night with Ronald Weasley

Hermione sat at her desk in her bedroom, peering into the mirror that hung above it. A hairbrush, a bottle of Sleekeazy's Hair Potion, a tube of lipstick and mascara, and a few other pieces of make-up and jewelry were scattered in front of her. She picked up something, held it near her face, then placed it back on the desk. She wasn't very good at this, but it was a special night.

Ron had been so busy with work since they made up that they hadn't really found the time for a proper dinner together. But, now with The Burning Man paperwork taken care of, and Lucius Malfoy safely behind bars (she found that whole ordeal beyond terrifying- she even found herself feeling bad for Draco?), the two had picked that night to finally get some time together, alone. Without Harry lingering around.

After about an hour or so, she had her usual frizzy waves into sleek curls, and she had managed to get some make-up on her face. Hermione spent the next twenty minutes sighing and holding up several dresses in front of her frame in the mirror. Some she tried on and flung off onto the bed. There was a reason her relationship with Ron was always so casual. But, this time around, she insisted that if they were dating, then Ron would have to get around to actually taking her out on, well, a date.

Finally, she settled on something sweet. She felt nervous, but... good.
