Great story! I very much enjoyed all the time I invested this weekend to reading it. Well done!

We wanted to share the joy we had in both canons, and I'm very pleased to hear that we did so for you.

So far, though, you've got the NCIS cast down pretty well. Gibbs could stand to be a little more terse and, uh, fwappish.
I have the house to myself tomorrow, so I'll try to finish this read - failing that, I'll at least print it (don't worry - I have two reams of paper and a Lexmark T522 printer that kicks out 28 pages a minute) and read it while I'm sprawled on my lawn chair in my very undisciplined garden, totally invisible to the outside world, with the last of the bumblbees and hummingbirds whirring around my head...

(Gibbs has a shining moment later on. I think you'll get a grin out of it.)

Thank you again for beta-ing and for your help in pointing out where we needed to work. We made some fairly significant changes after the last time you saw it, but I didn't want to burden you again and P. had volunteered to look it over. I'm glad that you can see the changes you suggested and that the final result is worth the time investment to read.
Thanks for reading and letting me (us) know.

I'm tickled at how you pulled some of my favorite lines.
We both love Abby (and I think it shows) and agree that we would much rather have not had Rowling's "Happily Ever After" epilogue and been free to imagine other futures, not just for Hermione, but for all of them. Draco's a particularly good example. I do understand that with her background, clear lines of good and evil are comforting and perfection is growing old with a Twu Wuv and raising babies, but she gave us so much to play with, I rather wish she'd seen fit to acknowledge that her world has room for her and us, too, and let us play in peace. Ah well, 'tis the author's prerogative, I suppose.
