Okay, so NaNoWriMo--National Novel Writing Month, for those who don't know--is officially over. The first draft of my novel Whispering Hills is not finished, however. My plan to solve this? Well, the plan is to keep on writing until I reach the end of the novel. Then I'm going to type it up, and save it to my flash drive. Then I shall let the novel sit for a while without being read or touched my myself or anyone else.
After a break from the novel (say, about a month, maybe two), I shall go back to the novel and correct any mistakes I find. Just the obvious ones. Then I'm hoping to e-mail the novel to a few trusted individuals and allow them to read it through when they have time. The hope is to get fresh perspective on the novel, and get feedback on various things related to the novel.
After all of this is done, I hope that during March I can participate in NaNoEdMo--National Novel Editing Month--and edit the novel as much as I am able to do. Then after that it'll be Camp NaNoWriMo over the summer with my next novel!! :D
