They've released the trailer for The Green Lantern:

TWOP was complaining about this, but I don't see a gigantic problem. Then again, I've only read a bit of Blackest Night (which seemed really interesting and pretty well-done), so I can't speak to everything, but the aliens look fine to me. Yeah, the suit is very iffy, but I'm going with TWOP's hypothesis that they made it different in case it flopped or something.
Also, I'm not worried about all of Hal's wisecracking in the trailer: I think they highlighted those moments to draw in a larger, mainstream audience that usually thinks "comedy" when they think "Ryan Reynolds." Remember, as TVTropes tells us, Never Trust a Trailer. Ever. For every wisecracking scene shown in the trailer, there could be 5 more scenes where he doesn't. We won't know until next summer.
The one thing I agree with TWOP on: Blake Lively. She's very pretty, and she seems like a really sweet girl in interviews, but she's very bland and wooden here. I can't buy her as a test pilot. If they needed someone to be a badass female pilot, maybe they should have gone with someone like Eliza Dushku or Jessica Biel. They're rather limited as actresses, too, but at least they can act to a certain degree and be badass. Who else would you guys suggest if they pulled a Dark Knight with her role between this and the sequel (which is already being written)?
Overall, this movie looks more like it's in the vein of Iron Man, not The Dark Knight. I think that's a good thing because if all of DC's movies were like TDK, that would be hideously boring.
