Well, here's my pick for a more recent TV show:
I think they're very unique, and watching them makes me very happy. And c'mon, everyone loves these opening credits.
The best mashup I've ever found:
I just wish they'd included CE instead of John Simm as the Shepherd Book placeholder. He was in way more episodes than Simm.

James Garner was probably the handsomest middle-aged man ever. For realsies.
Funny story: when I found out the NBC is remaking this, I told my parents. My dad was like, "Really?" but my mother shouted, "THEY CAN'T DO THAT!! JAMES GARNER IS ONE OF A KIND!!!"
It was so cute and fangirl-y. I swear both of my parents have a crush on him. ;)
...I've actually only seen about two episodes of this show. I should give it another try.
