Today's my birthday, and here's how I spent my birthday morning:
I participated in a 10K superhero run to support Communities Healing Adolescent Depression and Suicide (CHADS) Coalition. Participants could dress as superheroes, and I chose to be Wonder Woman. Interestingly, DC was almost unanimously represented. Only She-Hulk, Captain America, and a couple of Spider-Mans represented Marvel. And I met these guys:
That papier-mache head took two weeks to build. It was epic. Naturally, he won the costume contest.
And the Justice League showed up:
And I met this lovely lady:
She apparently used to work as Wonder Woman at Six Flags several years back, and now she's Wondy for charity. She originally had to audition for Wonder Woman at DC Comics. She was pretty much perfect, so Warner Bros., you might want to hire her for a Wonder Woman movie. Like, yesterday.
All in all, it was super-duper fun! It was a great birthday treat and it was for a good cause.
ETA: And I'd like to wish an extremely happy birthday to
all of these people, living and dead, from the amazing (Agatha Christie, Marco Polo) to the awesome (Prince Harry, Tom Hardy, Merlin Olsen) to the interesting (Claude McKay, James Fenimore Cooper, William Howard Taft, Princess Letizia) to the sporty (Dan Marino, Gaylord Perry, Pete Carroll) to...all the rest (Chelsea Kane, Heidi Montag, Lisa Vanderpump, Dina Lohan). And Happy Birthday to my Great-Aunt Peggy! I hope you guys enjoyed your day, too!
